A Busy Year At MysticArt Pictures

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

As we move into the final quarter of 2015, MysticArt Pictures is reflecting on an incredibly busy and successful year thus far. We cannot believe we have already finished 100 hours of television this year. What continues to set MysticArt Pictures apart is our unique approach to assembling stellar casts and delivering talent-driven content for both broadcast and cable networks. As the industry continues to evolve, one thing that has remained consistent over the course of the past few decades has been the need to fuel content with engaging talent. Some of the highlights this year include selling a comedy docu-series to NBC, a comedy format based on the Odd Couple to a major cable network, and we are currently in negotiations for several new projects that we have developed. Our CEO Katy Wallin strives to be at the forefront of technology customized for entertainment and continues to build and expand one of the largest global talent databases in the industry. This has been an exciting year of change, for the company and for the casts of our shows, and we cannot wait to share some big announcements in the coming weeks.

We are just a month away from the highly-anticipated premiere of Project Runway Junior on November 12th, a show that originated from a cast-contingent sizzle reel. The show is co-hosted by Hannah Davis and Tim Gunn, who has been quoted saying “These teens are so incredibly talented, and have wonderful qualities of character…and they’re fearless…I loved working with them, it was a great honor.”

We are also counting down to the premiere of the second season of Ellen’s Design Challenge, one of the highest-rated shows in HGTV history and rated consistently as a top-10 program while airing. This all-new season will be even bigger than the first, with more competitors and more episodes, and we are happy to say that this cast was yet another incredibly talented group we delivered for a show – and the competition will be fierce!

Our momentum has continued in the docu-series world. One of those is the hit series Dance Moms, for which we were tapped by Lifetime to discover an all-new cast of dancers and their moms who are ready to train and compete with Abby Lee Miller in season 6. We also discovered yet another all-star cast for the new docu-series titled Basketball Moms centered around an elite team of future NBA basketball players and their incredibly dynamic moms and coaches, and are in negotiations on a family comedy-docu series we created.

We’ve worked on a wide range of projects this year and with a diverse array of production companies on many different formats, including competitions, game shows, docu-series, social experiments, comedy and improv shows, renovation shows, celebrity-driven, and dating shows. We recently wrapped a new family series for the Emmy-award winning company and Simon Lythgoe. Our game show department opened an office in Hawaii to cast 20 episodes of a new kid’s game show for Nickelodeon, as well as a couple’s series for Oxygen. We wrapped season 4 of ABC’s Celebrity Wife Swap with an all-star cast that include Oscar and Emmy-award winning celebrities, rock stars, and Olympic athletes, and gave some big opportunities to both celebrity and undiscovered comedians and improv actors for a new project on a major broadcast network. We completed two new series for FYI focused on home design and aspirational lifestyle stories, and gave singles a chance for love for a new project for a major cable network; for several of the new shows we cast, we also discovered the series hosts and experts. In addition, MysticArt has produced critically-acclaimed films, and we are continuing our mission to package and produce scripted television and features.

Our mission as a company is to continue to imagine, collaborate, and create. If you imagine it, we can fuel any idea and any project with engaging storytellers, authentic talent, and an all-star cast.
